I'm Daniela Prisacaru, a resident doctor in Germany, a mentor for international medical graduates and doctors, and someone who's walked the path you're just beginning.
I CREATED THE MENTORSHIP I ONCE NEEDED
I know what it feels like to leave everything behind and try to restart your medical career in a completely new country.
I created medstudygermany to offer more than information, to offer guidance, clarity, and real-life insight into what it truly means to start a medical career in Germany as a foreign graduate.
I’ve lived each step of that transformation: from navigating an unfamiliar system and adapting to a new culture, to receiving advanced clinical training.

TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE
Through my Master's degree in Global Public Health, I gained a broader understanding of how healthcare, education, and training intersect, and how challenging that intersection can be when crossing borders.
My vision is to build a global community where international medical students, graduates, and professionals feel seen, supported, and empowered.
A space where education is not just a tool for survival, but a pathway to belonging, contribution, and excellence.
WHAT IT TOOK TO GET HERE
After graduating from medical school in Moldova in 2018, I moved to Germany and retook part of the medical school training required for degree recognition.
Between 2019 and 2022, I completed additional clinical education, passed all state exams, and received my Approbation. That same year, I began my neurology residency.
Alongside my clinical work, I pursued a Master’s degree in Global Public Health and began my doctoral research (Dr. med).
In 2024, I was honored to serve as a Brain Health Advocate and Neurology Ambassador for the European Academy of Neurology.
Through @medstudygermany, a growing community of over 26,000 international doctors, medical graduates, and students, I now share insights, support, and guidance.
And soon, I’ll be launching my mentorship program to take that support one step further.
